In all the time I have spent as VPE, I could get a complete planner during a week. Today, the Grammarian stepped up, therefore completing the planner.
The next session is going to be absolutely wonderful.

S138
Another extraordinary session. The club prepares for the final session of the year. The VPE gave an Educational Moment about the importance of "Knowing your Audience" from the Better Speaker Series.
The Toastmaster of the session was Violetta Rios. Her core team was made up of:
Grammarian: Gaspar Alvarado
Timer: Mario Juarez
Topic Master: Patty Ramirez
General Evaluator: Dorina Garza Leonard.
The speeches showed all three levels of progress. David Vargas delivered his Project 2 from the Basic Communication Manual "Organize your Speech" about coaching. Victor Flores delivered his Project 9 from the Basic Communication Manual "Persuasive Speaking" about the political situation in the country and upcoming elections. Aydeli Rios delivered her final project from the Facilitating Discussion Manual "Reaching a Consensus" about how we can make our club's sessions even better and have a closer bond amoung the members.
Dorina remarked the importance of feedback and how it helps us improve. Rodrigo Hedeke evaluated David; Julio Rodriguez evaluated Victor; and Alex Villar evaluated Aydeli.
Patty selected topics to make us reflect on the things we are greatful for, she invited Cecy, Gaby and Juan Arnoldo to answer her questions.
During the final evaluation, the Timer let us know we master our times on stage. The Grammarian noted out areas of opportunity and that we didn't use the word of the day. The General Evaluator noticed that puntuality continues to be our main area of opportunity.
It was a great session, there were 15 members in attendance and the planner was almost complete before everyone left

Eye on the Prize
Vision looks inwards and becomes duty.
Vision looks outwards and becomes aspiration.
Vision looks upwards and becomes faith.
-Stephen Samuel Wise
I remember the times our club was rejected by some and how others were skeptical that Delta would survive beyond the 2 year marker. We are approaching the end of the TMI year and Delta is standing as a President's Distinguished Club for the second year in a row. Last year, 9 goals were met; this year we aced all 10.
Delta lead both Division A and Area 1 throughout the year. We have lost members along the way, but others have come to complete the family we have. Everyone has grown so much. Seeing each one gain confidence, delivering more complex speeches, challenging their own areas of opportunity has been an experience that many developers wish they had.
I think the key to our success this year has been efficient planning and having a continuous development. By the time I concluded my term as President, I had a couple of educational goals on the edge of being accomplished. Julio picked up where I left off. He didn't barge in and change the way I was managing the club, it was a continuation. I hope it continues this way, for the sake of the club.
I am going to give myself a week off and then start all over again.

Happy Birthday Gaby!!!!
"Both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities.
It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...
when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that’s present -- love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure -- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth."

A very special birthday for our Vicepresident of Public Relations, Gabriela Garcia.

S112
The first session after we got back from Guadalajara and winning the International Speech Contest. Things have been hectic, but we are managing to get through.
The Toastmaster of the day was Victor Flores, with his very particular style he introduced his core team made up by Timer, Karina Hernandez; Grammarian, Violetta Rios and General Evaluator, Gabriela Garcia.
Two speakers delivered their speeches, Efren Zazueta, with project 8 from the basic communication manual called "Lie to me" and Hector Cartagena, with project 2 from the basic manual as well, presented "Aikido, the martial art of peace". The speakers were evaluated by Julio Rodriguez and Aydeli Rios.
Instead of Table Topics, those that went to the convention spoke about their experience, giving the spotlight to Dorina, who passed around the trophy and let everyone feel its power.

And so, the adventure continues
So after 2 hour flight delay, sleeping in the wrong room, the real reason we came to Guadalajara was here: the International Speech contest.
This year, ten participants graced the stage. The last contestant was ours, Dorina Garza Leonard. The room was almost packed, but we were nervous.
When the moment came, she took the stage like a storm, drawing everyone into her speech "My children are to blame" I paniced when I didn't see the green light and she was about to wrap up.
After a few moments of stress and panic, the winners were announced.
Dorina snagged the first place, making her the first one to ever bring home this trophy
